www.needymeds.org offers a Drug Discount Card which offers savings when medications are purchased at a retail pharmacy.
The card is free and available for download with the same ID number. Just print it out and present it when buying your prescription drugs at your drug store. The average savings is about 30%. There is no savings on the $4 generic drugs offered at the big box pharmacy stores. It may also be used for over the counter drugs, medical devices and prescription veterinary medications when purchased at a retail pharmacy depending on your pharmacy's policies.
