NEW!!!!
With the Election of Scott Walker as Wisconsin's Next Governor and Ron Johnson as Wisconsin's Next Senator, and the new Majority for Republicans in the Wisconsin State Legislature, we're putting up this page to keep track of how long it takes for them to break their promises, and keep track of how well their Economic Recovery "Plans" are performing.
Judge Grants Temporary Restraining Order and Temporary Injunction REOPENING the Wisconsin State Capitol, Which Walker and Republican State Legislators Fraudulently Closed off to the Public, to Suppress The LAWFUL Protests of Demonstrators. (Against his UNCONSTITUTIONAL "UNION BUSTING" BILL)
Walker and Republican State Legislators are STILL preventing visitors from accessing the Capitol, unless accompanied by individual POLICE ESCORTS (whom the TAXPAYERS are paying for, for excessive overtime), and the Capitol Police were REPLACED by them, by Walker for allowing the protesters to remain. Only two entrances were opened today. A Democratic State Assembly Representative Nick Milroy was thrown to the floor by a police officer from Two Rivers, last night as he attempted to enter to get to his OFFICE, to get some clothes. He later stated that "everyone was stressed" and that "this is the type of thing that happens when people are stressed". Channel 12 reported that as "Nick Milroy stated that he was partially to blame". HUH??? WHERE DID CHANNEL 12 GET THE WORDS THEY USED TO REPORT THIS, OUT OF WHAT HE ACTUALLY SAID???
Walker is threatening to replace the Capitol Police with private security from Wackenhut, a firm he had earlier illegally hired to replace County Security personnel, as Milwaukee County Executive.

Republicans originally ALSO fraudulently claimed that it would cost $7.5 Million to "clean up after the protesters." Republicans later backtracked on that number when it was obvious to just about everyone that it was a LIE. Protesters had intentionally used blue painters tape to tape up their signs, which lift off, without leaving any residue. Republicans had claimed that it would take special cleaning to clean all the different types of marble. When asked where Republicans came up with such a ridiculous number, they first admitted that they hadn't received any estimates from any vendors, then revised that again when Mike Huebsch claimed that the number came from an earlier report by a Wisconsin Department agency and a vendor, but LEFT OUT THE PART about the fact that that number was based on RENOVATING THE CAPITOL BUILDING TO HOW IT WAS 10 YEARS AGO!
It had NOTHING to do with cleaning up after the protesters!
So, as soon as they got caught with THAT LIE, they put out a new one. They are now claiming that it will cost $350,000.00 to "clean up after the protesters". (I'm sure that that would go out in a no bid contract to a Walker campaign contributor as well.)
Here's the thing. All that has to happen, is that the protesters take the signs down when they go, and clean up after themselves, which is probably what will happen. (If you haven't noticed, after public events, working class people CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES. RICH REPUBLICANS consider that to be BELOW THEM so they leave the mess behind for someone else to clean up!)
How much you want to bet they leave it cleaned up, but Walker gives out a high priced, no-bid contract to a campaign donor to "clean it up" anyhow?
Update: Protesters volunteered to take down the signs for free, so the State wouldn't have to hire someone to do it. Republicans refused their offer. How much you wanna bet the "clean-up job went to a Walker or other Republican donor?

Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Wisconsin GOP, referred to the "execution" of Obama three separate times during a recent media conference call.
"Feingold had mentioned that he thought that it would be good if we captured Obama in the battlefield setting and that he suffered the quote-unquote ultimate punishment there," Priebus told reporters while attempting to explain that Sen. Feingold (D-Wis.) was "out of the mainstream" because of his opposition to using capital punishment -- even on Osama bin Laden -- as a tool of the American criminal justice system.
"I find this point that he's made to be completely disgusting. I think it's offensive to the people of Wisconsin, I hope he has an explanation as to why he thinks Obama ought not to be executed and why he thinks we ought to bring Osama bin Laden to the United States that he should be captured alive and actually have a trial," Priebus said later.
Probed by reporters on how Republican Senate candidate Ron Johnson would feel on these issues, Priebus surmised that he would also favor the execution of "Obama."
"My guess is he would believe that Obama should be executed and he oughta be treated as a war criminal," Priebus explained.
A reporter from WisPolitics later pointed out his use of Obama instead of Osama.
"You mean Osama bin Laden I take it," the reporter said.
"Uh, right," responded Priebus.

Gee. Reince Priebus just called for the "execution" of the President of the United States, THREE SEPARATE TIMES and claimed it "was a mistake"?
(This is nothing new by the way. Republicans across the country have been putting out irresponsible garbage like this since the 2008 primaries, in an attempt to connect bin Laden to Obama by confusing the gullible. (They've been using this type of tactic for DECADES - read about Lee Atwater and his dirty tricks for George H.W. Bush.) Stupid people actually believe this stuff in spite of the fact that the bin Ladens have long had a favored relationship with the Saudi Royal Family, and the BUSHES. George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush were both Directors of the Carlyle Corporation, ALONG WITH bin Laden's brother! George H.W. Bush was actually in a meeting of the Carlyle Board of Directors AND bin Laden's brother in Washington, D.C. on the morning of 9/11. Bush Sr. caught a flight west, after the meeting, until the F.A.A. grounded all flights and Bush Sr. had to land in Milwaukee. The day after, the entire extended bin Laden family was whisked aboard a private jet, and allowed to leave the U.S. without allowing the CIA, FBI, NSA or any other intelligence agency to even question them about the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden, or what they might have known about the planning of the 9/11 attacks by special orders from President George W. Bush. Do you think Bush was EVER interested in catching bin Laden? He said he was. He promised he was going to "get 'em Dead or Alive" but shut down the bin Laden unit and stopped any active search for bin Laden when he redirected the country's attention to the invasion of Iraq! He never really intended to capture bin Laden. As long as he's alive, Republicans are guaranteed a "red meat" response from their followers, whenever they mention him. They can't go after the Russian Communists, because Bush "looked into Putin's eyes and saw into his soul". Besides they may need to buy oil from Russia sometime soon. And they can't go after the Communist Chinese because they produce everything on the planet, and would shut down all retail business if we went to war with THEM. So, Republicans had to create a brand new boogie man for their followers to fear, and for Republicans to "protect them from him". It's the scam of the Millenium. )
The Secret Service should be visiting Reince Priebus soon. The Secret Service reported that during the 2008 Presidential campaign, there were several assassination threats which were foiled by the Secret Service. They also said that the threats were ramped up because of the vitriol coming out of Republican Party members, including Sarah Palin and people in the audience at McCain / Palin events who were never told that they were out of line, when they shouted things like "kill him" referring to then Senator Obama.
Reince Priebus, Chair of the Wisconsin GOP, is WAY out of line here. This goes beyond stupid. What he is doing is CRIMINAL. This is a classic INTENTIONAL "slip of the tongue" which Republicans have been using across the country, to blatantly say something outrageous, and then act like it was a mistake. He's stirring up the nut jobs, so that if something happens he can claim he had nothing to do with it. He is WAY past salvaging by making any apologies, he needs to step down IMMEDIATELY and prepare for PRISON TIME.
Do you know what Reince Priebus's name spells when you take out all of the Vowels?
RNC PR BS You know, you just can't make this stuff up!!!
The Lunatics Have Taken Over the Insane Asylum - And We Aren't talking "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" Here. Are you sorry for not showing up to vote or taking the time to understand the issues before you voted? You will be. Newly "minted" State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald announced his first order of business was to take away people's rights to vote. So much for campaign promises of "creating jobs." http://wpt2.org/npa/transcript1510.cfm Interview with Scott Fitzgerald
Friday, November 5, 2010
Frederica Freyberg:
What about major bills that your caucus would advance?
Scott Fitzgerald:
"Senate Bill 1, I hope after talking to a couple of the republican senators will be photo ID to vote. You know, last April in the spring elections we saw incidents and reports around the state of people trying to vote multiple times, multiple locations. We don't have anything formal yet, but certainly just in the November elections we heard the same thing was happening in certain parts of the state. I think the photo ID bill would help stem that, and I think I'm going to get some pretty good agreement from caucus members on launching that as Senate Bill 1."
And what did he say about economic development and job creation?
"Certainly I think economic development and the job creation stuff is kind of the rhetoric of the campaign trail, but the reality is that there's a couple of departments within state government that have literally run off the tracks, and one is the department of commerce. I think that there's a lot of changes that need to be made."
So..."economic development and the job creation stuff is kind of the rhetoric of the campaign trail"..., are you already backing off of promises to create jobs? So SOON? Rather than economic development and creating jobs, he's going to be focusing on making changes in departments within state government. Anyone working in the corporate culture knows what that means. They'll be drawing up new "organizational charts" and changing who works in what positions, to SUPPORT the REPUBLICAN AGENDA. They've already kicked economic development and job creation to the curb.
A friend who worked the phone lines during the GOTV efforts, told me that retired UNION employees were upset with Democrats because they didn't want to pay ANY taxes on their Premier Health Insurance Coverage, even if such legislation wouldn't kick in until 2017, IF then; so they voted for Republicans. I wonder if they will recognize that it was THEIR short-sighted voting which allowed Republicans to take over the House of Representatives, BOTH Houses of our State Legislature, a sitting Senator's Seat (Russ Feingold's), TWO Congressional Seats (Dave Obey's, and Dr. Steve Kagen's), and the Governor and Lt. Governor's seat, when Republicans continue to kill jobs and destroy UINONS, and drive their former employers out of business, SO THEY ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO HAVE THEIR HEALTH CARE PAID FOR AT ALL.
It is THAT kind of short sightedness, and GREED, which is causing people to act in ways that they THINK are going to save them, or their assets/belongings, but which are, in reality, cutting their own throats.
By the way, Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen has only charged 5 people in the STATE with voter fraud, ONLY TWO had submitted absentee ballots and then turned up to vote in person at their polling place. The other three were charged with getting people to submit multiple REGISTRATION CARDS (not the same as multiple voting - still a crime, but not multiple voting or "voting" fraud - apparently, these registrars were being paid based on how many completed registrations they submitted, so the asked people to submit multiple registration cards, which is just registering so people can have their names and data ADDED TO THE DATABASE. Their names are STILL cross-checked at the polls, so that you can only vote ONCE. That is WHY the other two were caught, because they were registered and listed as having already voted absentee when they attempted to vote in person.
Multiple registrations happen all the time, particularly when people fill out forms which are illegible, so their information isn't entered into the database properly, or at all, or they are so backed up on data entry, that they haven't been added onto the database by the time it has been sent to the polling place. In that case, the people won't be found on the database at their polling location, so they will need to fill in an ADDITIONAL registration form AT the polling location so they can be registered to vote. That is just a result of using old, out moded means of registering people in the first place.
So, now that Republicans have used a fraudulent argument to get their base to show up to the polls, they have to take some worthless "action" against something that, for the most part doesn't exist, and even when it does occur, the perpetrators are caught easily, so their votes don't count. You should find out how much time Republicans are willing to waste by attacking a non-existent problem, and how much in tax-payer funding they are willing to throw away to "deal" with this non-existent problem, or IF they are ACTUALLY going to DO ANYTHING to deal with this non-existent problem, given that, if they DO something, spend money and make a show of it, they'll have to show that the money is well spent, and their actions effective. Chances are they will make it APPEAR as if they did something, but do NOTHING, so that they can continue to use this as a "battle cry" to fool people into voting for them again in the future. But then, they take the chances of appearing to be INCOMPETENT for NOT having fixed the "problem".

Last year, two men showed up in Benson, Ariz., a small desert town 60 miles from the Mexico border, offering a deal.
Glenn Nichols, the Benson city manager, remembers the pitch.
"The gentleman that's the main thrust of this thing has a huge turquoise ring on his finger," Nichols said. "He's a great big huge guy and I equated him to a car salesman."
What he was selling was a prison for women and children who were illegal immigrants.
"They talk [about] how positive this was going to be for the community," Nichols said, "the amount of money that we would realize from each prisoner on a daily rate."
But Nichols wasn't buying. He asked them how would they possibly keep a prison full for years — decades even — with illegal immigrants?
"They talked like they didn't have any doubt they could fill it," Nichols said.
That's because prison companies like this one had a plan — a new business model to lock up illegal immigrants. And the plan became Arizona's immigration law.
Behind-The-Scenes Effort To Draft, Pass The Law
The law is being challenged in the courts. But if it's upheld, it requires police to lock up anyone they stop who cannot show proof they entered the country legally.
When it was passed in April, it ignited a fire storm. Protesters chanted about racial profiling. Businesses threatened to boycott the state.
Supporters were equally passionate, calling it a bold positive step to curb illegal immigration.
But while the debate raged, few people were aware of how the law came about.
NPR spent the past several months analyzing hundreds of pages of campaign finance reports, lobbying documents and corporate records. What they show is a quiet, behind-the-scenes effort to help draft and pass Arizona Senate Bill 1070 by an industry that stands to benefit from it: the private prison industry.
The law could send hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants to prison in a way never done before. And it could mean hundreds of millions of dollars in profits to private prison companies responsible for housing them.
Arizona state Sen. Russell Pearce says the bill was his idea. He says it's not about prisons. It's about what's best for the country.
"Enough is enough," Pearce said in his office, sitting under a banner reading "Let Freedom Reign." "People need to focus on the cost of not enforcing our laws and securing our border. It is the Trojan horse destroying our country and a republic cannot survive as a lawless nation."
But instead of taking his idea to the Arizona statehouse floor, Pearce first took it to a hotel conference room.
It was last December at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. Inside, there was a meeting of a secretive group called the American Legislative Exchange Council. Insiders call it ALEC.
It's a membership organization of state legislators and powerful corporations and associations, such as the tobacco company Reynolds American Inc., ExxonMobil and the National Rifle Association. Another member is the billion-dollar Corrections Corporation of America — the largest private prison company in the country. more...
Taxpayers in Arizona got SUCKERED into getting their TAXES RAISED SKY HIGH. 100,000 inmates at an estimated cost of $50,000.00 per inmate per year = $5,000,000,000.00 PER YEAR. $5 BILLION PER YEAR. That is twice Wisconsin's current State Deficit ($2.5 Billion) ALL OF WHICH GOVERNOR Doyle INHERITED from Republican Governors Thompson and McCallum and A Republican Legislature (a minimum of $3.2 Billion up to $5.2 Billion in State Deficits according to various estimates), which Republicans created after the strongest economic DECADE in American HISTORY, and 16 years of Republican control! And Governor Doyle and a Democratic Legislature REDUCED that deficit by a MINIMUM of $700 Million up to $2.7 Billion, under the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression! The lowest taxes in 50 years, and reduced every single year out of the last six years! Better than any Republican Legislature or Republican Governor, over that same 50 years, and Republicans call that a "failed agenda"!? Remember, Republicans said similar things about President Clinton's administration when he not only BALANCED the FEDERAL BUDGET, but CREATED a SURPLUS. But they never complained about Bush and a Republican Congress, when they created an $11 TRILLION DEFICIT! They not only EMBRACED those disastrous policies, they want to go back to them!
Think about this! They want to do this ACROSS THE COUNTRY, and if they get into the majority, THEY WILL. What does that mean for you? There are an estimated 12 million undocumented workers in the United States. 12 million x $50,000.00 per year = $600,000,000,000.00 $600 BILLION IN INCREASED TAXES PER YEAR TO KEEP MILLIONS OF PEOPLE IN PRISON! Are they NUTS!? (Actually, they aren't - they're looking for another way to suck every last dime out of you. They got used to the $10 to $12 BILLION A MONTH they were profiting from the War in Iraq). They're losing that income stream, (which they also suckered U.S. Taxpayers into buying), and now they're trying to get you to buy ANOTHER PINK ELEPHANT!
The Question Is, "Are you foolish enough to fall for it?" Do you REALLY want to give immigrants free room and board and free health care? Vote for Republicans, and that is EXACTLY what you would be getting, along with THE BILL to PAY FOR IT ALL!
Republicans want you to believe that deficit reduction and balancing the U.S. budget is the number one, no, the ONLY priority.
And it IS, when the economy is GOOD, AND we can pay down the deficit, like when the Republicans were in power and Bush constantly told us in his State of the Union messages that the Economy of the United States was STRONG. UNLESS of course, the economy REALLY WASN’T STRONG, in which case Bush should have been ARRESTED for PERJURY, because the STATE of the UNION is the ONLY speech that the U.S. Constitution REQUIRES the President of the United States to make!
But, instead, they ran up the deficit to $11 Trillion, and only NOW are complaining about it? And because Democrats haven’t been able to turn around the economy FAST ENOUGH, in two years, after Republicans had 12 years of control in Congress and eight years of Bush in the White House, to destroy the economy, they blame us for not FIXING the problem THEY CAUSED?
Republican Ron Johnson is fraudulently blaming Senator Feingold for running up the deficit by $10 Trillion, even though HE KNOWS that: it was REPUBLICANS in Congress and the BUSH Administration who pushed for and got approved over $4 Trillion in tax cuts and interest on the deficits they caused, half of which was used to benefit the richest 1% of Americans; it was Republicans who pushed for the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars which have currently cost over $1 Trillion to U.S. Taxpayers (Ron Johnson won't even answer what he would do to help homeless veterans WHO FOUGHT THOSE Republican WARS FOR OIL) "specifically, I, I, I, I haven't been there, I don't have all the details"; it was Republicans who pushed for and got over $700 Billion in direct subsidies to pharmaceutical companies rather than providing those benefits to the patients who needed them, in their Medicare scam; it was the Republicans who created the very questionable $700 Billion TARP bailout (and allowed the fraudulent packaging of junk assets into derivatives which were falsely labeled AAA "investments"), which led to the Wall Street collapse and loss of over $18 TRILLION in assets, causing a worldwide collapse of the mortgage market, and 40% losses for most investors in the Stock Market; and it has been Republicans who have been outsourcing jobs and offshoring industries - INCLUDING RON JOHNSON and HIS FAMILY, building plants around the world, including three in CHINA.
Senator Feingold has consistently opposed those policies, while Ron Johnson has not only EMBRACED those policies, but FUNDED THEM in his business, and through donations to the Republican Party, all while Johnson's company, PACUR, has failed to pay ONE PENNY in State Income Taxes between 1997 to 2008.
Johnson did this by setting up PACUR as an S Corporation, taking all Corporate income as PERSONAL income, so the company doesn't have to pay any taxes. During this same period of time, he paid $645,092 on $9.5 MILLION of income. That is a tax rate of LESS THAN 6.8%. Most middle class wage earners pay 30%! How can a multi millionaire pay less than 6.8% on their person income taxes, and NO Corporate State Income Taxes and have the GALL to complain that his taxes are TOO HIGH?
Ron Johnson refuses to provide details on any policies he would promote as alternatives to those which he attacks. He says that he sees this campaign as a "job interview to let people know who I am." He says "This election is not about details, it just isn't. As far as the details go, I'll just have to get there. I'll have to actually start performing the job."
Johnson wants the job of U.S. Senator, but he has no idea on what to do about job creation or homeless veterans. He has no intention of considering any plans or coming up with details until AFTER he gets the job. We don't have time for on-the-job training for multi-millionaires who haven't bothered to take the time to think through issues, but expect us to trust him and vote for him anyhow. Bush did the same thing. Look how well THAT worked out.
