New DPW Staff

Meagan Mahaffey will be serving as the DPW’s new Executive Director. Meagan comes to us from Citizen Action of Wisconsin where she had been serving as their Political Director for the past two years. Prior to that, she worked for America Coming Together in Florida and managed Gwen Moore’s successful primary campaign for Congress in 2004. Meagan has also worked for several other candidates and campaigns in Wisconsin including Barrett for Mayor (Milwaukee), Howard Dean for America, Kathleen Falk for Governor, the 2002 Democratic Coordinated Campaign and the 2003 Doyle Inaugural Committee. Meagan graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Journalism. She will be a great asset to the Party and we are grateful she has decided to join us.

Rachel Strauch-Nelson will be serving as the DPW’s Communication Director. Rachel has worked in communications roles in Wisconsin over the past four years, serving most recently as the press secretary of Fair Wisconsin. Prior to that, she worked as a press assistant at Doyle for Wisconsin and the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. In 2004, she worked as a press assistant on the Wisconsin Coordinated Campaign. Strauch-Nelson is a Wisconsin native, currently finishing a degree in journalism and political science at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
